I made the decision of buying some skis (again) this year. It was disappointing when I first started about 4 years ago, with the bad winter we had, that I sold all my stuff. But this year with the latest snowfall, I bought some skis from Kevin Kvalsten and boots from Gear West. Im very much a beginner with no formal classes as of yet. Just kind of winging it until maybe this weekend when I can join a group for some instruction.Ive been to Hyland in Bloomington a few times. My knees seem to be ok for skiing, but not running. Not sure if Ive ruined my interior tendons or something but cant seem to run beyond a half hour at the club without getting some major pain. There seems to be a healthy collection of skiers here in Minnesota. Skate, classic and downhill.
No biking news really. Sold my 29er. Looking to get a new dual for next year.
I had the 'go ahead' from work to move for the winter(contract for 4 months). But our company is struggling now and that has thrown a wrench into the mix.
